1) Researchers of Queen’s University Belfast found that the scaly-foot snail is the first species to be declared endangered as a result of deep-sea mining.

2) The government has approved to dissolve National Institute of Miners’ Health (NIMH) and merge it with Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)-National Institute of Occupational Health (NIOH), Ahmedabad.
