1) Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman chair the 36th meeting of the GST Council through videoconferencing in Delhi. It is the first GST Council meeting after the Union Budget placed before the parliament in July 5.

2) Centre has approved the Union Ministry of Earth Sciences’ Deep Ocean Mission (DOM). The project plans to explore the deepest recesses of the ocean.
